Greetings,
Many great humans with a love of the big hairy one come to this board, I'm honored to be amongst you all.
Today was pretty much my first field trip.
I heard (could be a loon but sounded more baboon like) what is very similar the 1973 Puyallup, WA payallup screamer. Though they werent screams but more like WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP..
It caught my attention because it sounded so baboon like, coming from this dense forest across the river.
Now I can pass it off as a loon (came home and listened to some loon sounds) but it doesnt sound "jungle" as what I heard.
I had been out a few hours, alone along the river and had a beaver encounter which scared me, as I first thought it was a coyote until five minutes later and I got lots of pics of a beaver. But still had my heart going.
Even called my wife and told I had just had a coyote encounter, I can see how mis-identification does happen.
O.K so I'm leaving and I decide to try a tree knock with this walking stick I picked up and knock a big rock. I didnt knock it loud but loud enough, plus up the valley is construction going on.
Nothing returns, no, knock knock knock, but about after a minute I hear this scream coming from the same area I heard the baboon wooh woooh woooh. Now, there are sea gulls around but this sounded like a horror movie scream!!
WHAAAAA WHAAAAA WHHAAAAA!!!!!
I thought a 20 to 30s women was being attacked from something.
I was heading home, but now I really needed to head back and unlock by bike I left 1 km back and find a way over to the other side of the river. But it's upscale houses and than just a steep hill with brush.
I made my way, if it wouldnt of been for those screams, and thats the thing, I've been reading and I think on this board someone mentionned baby screams or crying, kinda sounded like that. I dont think there are any recordings of those hitchcock like three screams I heard.
If anyone is in Edmonton and cares to maybe bushwack further with me in this area, please email me.
Problem is it is in the bottom of a valley and there is construction happening at the top.
Anyways, that was my day.
I look forward to seriously pursuing this further.

Came across a HUGE handprint and a few various feet prints today in Edmonton in the river valley while fishing. This time I went down just to fish (always bring my digicam to take pics of any fish I catch and release, so I got pics of these prints), closer to downtown than the other spot where I heard the whoop whoop whoop and aaaah aaaah aaaah sounds per the previous post above. Today pretty much in the heart of Edmonton I came across the huge handprint, that's what got my attention, about 6 1/2 - 7 inches wide acrosss the palm, left hand, you can see the thumb, index, well seperated but the middle and ring finger look like they slid in the mud together side by side and the pinky also looks close but not as seperated as the index and thumb. So I started looking more closely on the ground and was able to see right infront of the handprint about 2 feet away this mound of mud, like it had been pushed upwards, as if the sasquatch had tried to stop on a dime and slid forwards in the mud, creating a crater like a meteor would, and right infront of this crater with foot print in it were 4 huge feet prints leading to the big hole and uplifted mud. These prints leading to the handprint are roughly 15-16 inches long, beside the crater I found a smaller footprint about 7 1/2 - 8 inches long and I could clearly see 5 toes, ball of the foot, probably the clearest print there. What's also funny is there is a branch sticking out of it, looks like it was twisted off a tree, I had noticed it than that it was odd, but now I'm thinking maybe it's like one of those marker sticks?? I dont know?? maybe the younger one put it there after the bigger one fell due to the fact that the smaller print is actually made in the uplifted mud.) other prints went the other direction about the same length as the big ones 15-16 inches long but werent as wide as the others, so I figure that might have been a female? The area is not a beach, it's rocky and muddy, I thought perhaps the small footprint might have been made by a human but it was the only one I could find and I have hippy tree hugging friends who go barefoot quite a bit and if they went barefoot in this area they couldnt or wouldnt step feet flat in or on sharp rocks, mud & sticks, it would hurt to walk and one couldnt walk in that area barefoot without tippy toeing it. The tracks didnt come from anywhere (first print was right in the middle under the bridge) or lead to anywhere after the crater and handprint, I'm starting to wonder if sasquatch wades in the north saskatchewan river at night. Here's the low down! Approximately 21 times larger that New York City’s Central Park, Edmonton’s River Valley is the largest stretch of urban parkland in North America!! Surprise! One of the best places to get acquainted with the North Saskatchewan River is within the heart of its largest urban centre. The city of Edmonton's 7,400 hectare River Valley is the largest stretch of urban parkland in North America, extending 25 kilometres along both banks of the North Saskatchewan River, and containing 22 major parks, 11 lakes and 14 ravines. Thanks to early efforts to preserve Edmonton's natural riverbanks, lucky Edmontonians - and their visitors - can enjoy a vast wilderness park in an urban setting, with easy access to the river.

I forgot to add that the big feet prints leading to the hand print had a stride of about 80 inches almost twice as much as my longest stride. In some pics you can see the prints, stride and mud crater all together. Some pics shows the stick with its end twisted. The prints are not fresh, if anything they are atleast 4 days to a week old, hard to tell, I'm new at this, should do my own tests, will do my own tests. They were filled in with some dry dead crickets (lots) and some dry leaves and twigs, So they were pretty deep, about an inch to an inch and a half. I'm not making this up, and I dont think it's an old human track that now looks bigger due to time and weather, though I could be wrong. Oh man this sasquatch stuff really gets my blood going, I just wanted to catch a walleye. I did get spooked at the beginning when my mind couldnt deny what was infront of me. If anyone here in the city wants to go see this, tonight, tomorrow, asap! please contact me forest_stealth@yahoo.ca cause really some of the pics are really good but most arent and I dont have plaster to make casts Maxim

Wow its nice to have someone finally respond. I went back about 2 weeks ago and all that is pretty much left is abit of the handprint, thats it, as it was real close to the concrete wall. The rest of it was washed away.
You can email me if you would like more info.

I met with werewolf at Tim Horton's yesterday, it was nice to sit down with someone who has more experience in the bush, as werewolf is an experienced hunter. From our discussion and the way nature works, it seems that the prints I came across in the river valley were most likely made last year sometime before the frost. As I had mentionned there were lots of dead dry crickets in the prints themselves which would have been caused by the frost of autumn and remained in the tracks covered by snow until this spring, plus there was also green mold/moss like substance in them aswell showing signs of time. That explains the dead dry crickets!! Max.

If you want to read the report again, you can find it on Rence.com. Here is the link: www.rense.com/general72/sasq.htmYou will find in the report that he mentions the forum.

You have to put things in perspective here. What foreststealth fails to mention about the river valley is that its surrounded by concrete, asphalt and buildings.
I lived for 10 years in Edmonton in the past, and have seen the odd moose and bear in the river valley, because they follow the river, but Bigfoot??
In my opinion the prints are of a bare-footed human sliding in the mud, and with weather and time have expanded in size. Lots of people frequent the areas under the bridges in Edmonton.
I personally doubt a Bigfoot would even come close to a city like Edmonton without being seen by someone and history has shown that there's never been a sighting in or around the city of Edmonton.

Agreed....Rastaman I have recently been told that a area near Cold lake was a hotbed a few years ago and was that way for a long time. The area reffered to is the land in and around the Elizabeth metis reserve.Apparently during the 80's and most of the 90's it was said that people routinley had sightings in the area.Anything you know about it???

That is why I said nothing about the report when it was first mentioned. In the decade plus that I have been following Alberta sighting reports, I have never had one that close to a major city before. I never once though that Forest Stealth was lying, I just thought that he may have misidentified what he had found. I live in Red Deer, which is much smaller than Edmonton; and there has not been a Sasquatch sighting report filed here either.

No, I have never heard of any BF sightings coming from the Elizabeth Metis Settlement. Not that its not possible, since many of the natives in the area never talk about such stuff.
I've read of a sighting from the Bigfoot Casebook from the Cold Lake area in 1976, but it never mentions where exactly it occurred.
The Primrose Lake Weapons range just about an hour north of the city of Cold Lake, has 11,000 sq km of deep, uninhabited wilderness with no hunting allowed, except for a native only hunt in the fall and a wide variety of wildlife species that have never seen a human being. Any BF living in the area would surely find this area a paradise.
I keep looking, but have never found anything yet.
