Hello every one !
with all this snow and ice I figure I'd work on some recent sighting data for the up coming spring for my research/investigation on Harrison west. If anyone would like to share sighting. Tracks discovery or vocals from the pass year I would be very grateful ! I am just looking for time of year, location as close as you can and to tell me and what happen. Am trying to find clusters of activity to piece together travel routes to food and water just like hunters do for game animals. JusI to clairify I am only gathering info for my private records to help me gather evidence on this creature. I am in no way looking to harm or hurt them only looking for evidence
i don't know if other researchers are wiling to share data but I figured I'd ask. I have had some great success getting a few reports so far.
Once again in I am looking for specific location data to input on my map and records. No Just areas that I should search.
Id be happy to share my data when i get enough to lol. Please feel free to email me at rpmacdonald2@gmail.com or post info below
stay safe out there everyone !!!!

Honestly, I don't think you can pin down travel routes. And even if you see 2 reports in the same geography within 10 years of each other, it next to meaningless. There's nothing to substantiate that the information is indicative of the chance of any current habitation etc. If the report was from THIS week, then there's some slim chance.
Find out where places were recently logged and cleared and accessible, not gated.
Find places with lots of water and food sources, which is pretty much everywhere. Find some place where they wouldn't be constantly intruded on by 4 wheelers etc. Find some place where it's easy to be found, like an open area in a valley.
Don't go too early in the year, don't go when it's rainy all the time.
Have you tried this anywhere on HW yet? Up to 20 mile mark? West of there?
What evidence gathering and technology do you plan to use \ deploy when you get out there?

I have poked around mystery creek frs. There seems to be a lot of late nite vocals pass 20mile bay. I know I need to get away from the campers and weekend wheelers. Gonna spend time down around the hydro camp an farther. Right now I only have a bionic ear and digital recorder. Hoping for a cheap flir as wel soon. And of course cameras

Since this is an open forum and everything is a matter of public record, we don't want to name specifics due to hoaxers etc.
A few of us have been up in those areas and would be happy to discuss this privately. Send myself or other established members an IM with your contact info and we'll speak to the issue of locations etc. Also, I would encourage you to not post your email in an open forum unless you really really like viagra spam.

All of this is true! But the "Sasquatch Highway" is famous for some sightings, unusual vocalizations, and some rather juicy footprints...more so than any other area in the lower mainland. But you know,,it all depends on your suspending of disbelief! I spend a great deal of time every year in those areas..and I have never seen anything, or heard anything unusual! But I have spoken to those who have. So it is not a bad place to begin!
