The article is dead on! Even though such tactics have been put to use a number of years ago by such groups as the Sasquatch Research Initiative. All of the following responses to the article were of a nature to be expected! One person says the subject is dead. Another expresses that great strides have been made in investigating this creature. What those strides are..they will not say. Great evidence has been documented. What this evidence is..he will not say! In a nut shell..that is the Sasquatch/ Bigfoot community....or lack of community...which ever you prefer. And it will never change.

I agree with you I was just over at BFF and the same old, same old circular argument still dominates the forum

Most of the "bigfoot community" is a series of smaller, ass-patting clicks that think they've cornered the market on research and know more and better than the next click and so on and so on and around and around.
There's nothing new to talk about. Everything has been discussed, argued, shot down and regurgitated to the Nth degree. No community or sub community needs a reboot or even a life raft.
Stop talking, stop speculating, stop the clicks and cliches and get out there and get evidence that might count for something.
I'm sick of forums full of arm chair quarterbacks stirring the pot over something they really don't know squatch about.
Which is why we're all here, right?

That too has been said a thousand times in the past!
...one thing you have to remember..a 'forum' is just for that....speculation!
It is not a place to bring evidence. It is not a place to bring proof. It is just a place to talk about the critter.
But in the end, it is just a place for researchers, just to talk about each other!
People with proof would not be caught dead on a forum.
It would never be a place where I would go to reveal a new fact about sasquatch!
Forums are self perpetuating and self devouring.
In 15 years, I have never seen anything new on a forum!

I wasn't inferring that one should bring evidence to a forum. Real BF tracks aren't going to magically show up on your doorstep, you need be out out there.
I was inferring that forum banter is worthless due to the fact that it's mostly opinion and speculation.
So if you really love that sort of thing, hang out in forums and FB.
What isn't opinion and speculation? Techniques, personal experience with casting & tracking, equipment etc. That makes for good discussion and review. Why WE are here.
Most people spend their time talking smack on forums instead of actually doing anything.
But yeah, otherwise pretty much what you said. I digress for the 1001st time.

Even the BFRO, who pride themselves to be, "The only scientific research organization exploring the bigfoot/sasquatch mystery" still have nothing earth-shattering or new on Bigfoot research. With hundreds of their so-called expeditions under their belt in the US and Canada on proving the existence of Bigfoot, they still have no concrete evidence. No clear photos or even a body after decades of research and expeditions. It makes one wonder if the BFRO are even serious about solving this mystery.
One thing that I would say is for sure, there can't be too many of these creatures around if they do exist. We would have a body by now and many more people would be seeing them on a regular basis if there were many around.

Rastaman I have to agree with you. Since we can't even prove they exist with any hard physical evidence after all this time and effort, we can't begin to speak definitively about their numbers.
It's my own conjecture and personal belief they their numbers have been dwindling through the last century or so, and learning to migrate away from human habitat. If my life and species were endangered why would I live and hunt and fish anywhere near this ever increasing and hostile human population, when I could move further North and never see a human again, ever.
About BFRO, if the cast of Finding Bigfoot is the measure of their techniques and SOP, then it's little wonder they have no evidence. They should write a book called "This is how to scare off a BF". Could be a novel.

That article was well written -- and spot on.
It has become a religion with most enthusiasts, and they have rituals like tree knocking and howling that will not be abandoned. And any attempts to dissuade them from such acts only inflames their sensibilities and brings about the calls for your blasphemous destruction.
The comments on Thomas's YouTube videos are proof that if you are not drinking the koolaid you are a threat.
