Sorry to hear you're under the weather, Richard. Don't know about fun, but a few of us are heading out on Sunday rain or shine, to scout a research area, looking for a spot to do some regular visits. The area has a history of sightings.
I looked at the link to the show's casting call, saw "cold weather survival" , and decided I'm getting a little too old for that stuff. Thirty years ago, I'd have been game for it.

Our group of 4 met for breakfast at 7, and headed out to "our" valley at about 8. Steady rain persisted all day, but visibility was still decent, except for low cloud hiding the mountains above 3000 ft. We got into the valley about 18km before encountering snow deep enough to stop the truck, then backtracked to several spur roads to recce them, again hitting snow at higher elevations, 1 road in the process of washing out from heavy runoff, and another blocked by a recent landslide. A couple of deactivated spurs were checked out on foot in the drizzle, but even in decent goretex gear, that's not much fun. No sign of any type was seen, no tracks, no scat, no hair, and definitely no Sasquatch. The area looks good, with numerous 3 to 10 year old cut blocks, lots of streams, and almost endless deep, dark, timber, so we'll be back for more recce as the weather improves, allowing deeper access. The only wildlife spotted was a small herd of coast blacktail deer, just as we came out of the valley to pavement. I have a few pics, but my recently repaired PC doesn't seem to recognize my SD card from the camera any more, so I'll see about getting that corrected this week, so I can show them.
