Anybody here attend the recent BFRO Vancouver Island Expedition back in September 13-16 2007? Here's a link below to their Bigfoot/Sasquatch Discussion Forum on the BFRO's website concerning the "Expedition". What do you all think of their methods and outcome? s2.excoboard.com/exco/thread.php?forumid=150505&threadid=1696820

I think they are on the right track. I think that the individual from Victoria (that didn't get to go on the Moneymaker trip) that was getting his own group together is a good model. I hope a local group springs up around the Fraser valley and greater Vancouver. I think the best areas to try are local,as well.

You know, may be we should just organise our own trip to Harrsion Lake or something. Find a weekend and stay out there overnight. We have night vision, sound dish, and motion-sensing IR cam. No fee, just fun.

Sounds fun, but I don't know if I could get away for a whole weekend. I could probably do an over night, though, and slip away early in the morning? How about setting up a feeding station, and trying some wood knocks, and sound broadcasting? I think the area between Hemlock Valley and Harrison lake, somewhere would be perfect. As long as we don't get shot at by annoyed hunters! LMAO

Craig Woolheater, of 'Cryptomundo.com' has an active group in Texas. Vilnoori's nomination of the Hemlock/Harrison area is an excellent first step. Sceptics think the lack of investigative persuit futhers thier arguement."There's nobody looking because there is nothing to find!"they declare confidently. I think there is little field research because witnesses don't really want any more contact and non-witnesses can't fully commit. I think a group with a mix of both has the best chance. I also think a group is less at risk and more credible after the fact.

Definitely better to form your own research group for investigating areas that you are familiar with and close to home.
However, you'd think that by now with all the BF sightings that the BFRO have supposedly had on their expeditions up to now, that there would at least be some earth-shattering evidence or photos. But alas nothing concrete even for them.
In my opinion, Matt Moneymaker just wants to make a name for himself and his group while he's at his hotel room counting the money while everyone else is doing the work for him.

I know of at least two researchers who prowl the wilds around Harrison Lake up to Ruby Creek and on down to the Chehalis on almost a weekly basis...weather permitting! And it has been proven that just because a group makes a claim..does not mean that the claim will receive any credibility! Witness the N.E.S.R.A. (New England Sasquatch Research) debacle on footsteps in the dark..which appeared on Bigfootforums.com Better they should have stood in bed that day!

hey i think BFRO should check out bear beach[Rosemund beach] in between China Beach and Mystic.
long tim e ago i use to live on bear Beach by myself at one poing before all my friends invaded my privacy. i lived there for a couple years in one of my hand built cabins. I live there with my dog whiskey. There was times i thought i shared my domain with Bigfoot, never seen him but sure could smell him. he stunk like rotten dog or sometimes rotten cabbage/but i am a bush woman and have lived that way for many years and im Not afraid of any thing but in the back of my mind if he did appear in eye view i think i would freeze but i guess i could of shared Bear Beach with him.

P.S
The Government has turned that beach into a park same with Sombrio , there is a trail that goes from Bear beach past sombrio beach[which i lived there too for 3 years..

what's going on? I've moved to the island and have been hitting those places past Jordan River, in the San Juan Eco Reserve area between Port Renfrew and Lake Cowichan, talking to Conservation Officers and all. One told me he had a report of one by Save On gas in Sooke which is at the bottom of my street here so maybe I dont need to drive out past Port Renfrew, and yes since my backyard goes pretty much right into Sooke Mountain Provincial Park I'm also snooping around up there.
Anybody on the island want to get together?
Max.
