I watched a good show last night on the sasquatch. Tomas was interviewed quite a bit, it was cool to put a face to a name....GOOD JOB! I live on van island. There are some sightings out here on the northern island. I have a friend who was driving through clayoquot sound. She told me she never really heard of sasquatch. This was about 10 years ago. They were on a logging road and it was a rough road so they were driving pretty slow. She looked out her window and saw something beside a tree about 40-50 feet from the vehicle. it looked at her, got up and ran away. She said it was over in about 10 seconds. She didn't say it was a sasquatch, but she did say that she knew for sure that it was not a bear. There was no snout and it ran very well on 2 feet. she also mentioned that it was taller than their vehicle, which was a toyota truck. Most humans are taller than a toyota truck though. She did also say that it was huge, as in body mass not necessarily height. Anyway, i've always been quite interested in the subject, but i've always thought that i would need some sort of proof to be a believer, even though i feel the patterson film is real. This to me, was the proof that i always looked for. It wasn't with my eyes, but the eyes of a trusted friend. I fell that she did see something that day, and that it more than likely was a sasquatch, because, what else could it have been? She has seen bears before, and she said it wasn't a bear! I wish i was there that day!

I watched it too, it was called Bigfoots Reflection, I almost missed it too and yes it was really cool seeing Thomas S. and putting a voice and a face to his name, I mentioned before that I have read 2 books by him and am now hunting for a copy of Sasquatch in Alberta that he wrote as well. It was an interesting program, good job!!

The show was filmed during the winter of 2006, mostly during the month of October, Bill Miller and I both sugested that instead of silly looking renactments and the over dramaization which seams to be the rule of thumb in most U.S. programs, That they stick to what is said by those who were interviewed, and simply stick to the facts. Had no idea they were going to show it agian, I do know that the makers will be selling DVDs soon. And as far as I know the program has not been brodcast in the U.S.

When we had our first "experience" with BF, of course the first thing we did was get on the internet to find someone "official" to tell. Somehow the first "researcher" that we found was someone called Erik Bjorgson or something like that and we almost emailed him the pics we had, but, and for fear that he may be a lurker here, you are rude and very sarcastic Erik!! So we shut er down so to speak and didn't bother trying to contact anyone about it. Just let it go. A guy who works for Midas saw our pics and gave me a book by T.S., I read it and found another by the same author, I called the phone number, it was a Calgary number, but it was no longer in service. He renewed our quest by his belief in the Big Guy. This time I was on the hunt for you Thomas. I can appreciate that your area of research is so far away from Alberta now, but I admire your dedication, you are a calm and interesting dude. You are so very down to earth and thats refreshing. I wish you were still here in Alberta but I have since met another down to earth Alberta researcher who is very nice also. When was that show first aired? Are there any others?

No doubt he did! Thomas is the 'Go to' guy in western Canada these days..last of the "long of tooth' guys in the field at the ripe old age of...40..something! ...and yes..he is a quite cool dude...most of the time..."Oye Vey!"

Thank you for the kind words anotherhurtnalbrtn. I moved to the west coast from Alberta Sept 2002. You should contact the boys of W.C.S.R.O. In fact I believe Sean here is a founding member? They are a straight forward no B.S. group researching in Alberta, wish I had met them before i moved away. Bigfoot Reflections was filmed around Harrison here Dec 2006, and first aired May 2007. Only in Canada I think on the space channel which also repeats it every so often. What part of the Alberta Rockies are you concentrating on? I personally would suggest areas around Nordegg and Sundre. Most of the Time Gerry???And after I kept you and the Mrs entertained with my singing voice all the way down to Olympia? Thomas Steenburg
