Just think of how far some of our "old" gear would help out someone like this ... of course I am ALWAYS apprehensive about doing so, as I know a few people who have been only harassed for their kindness ... still it is tempting.

Richard There is also the problem of shipping any "old" gear to China. I have watched documentaries where they had to get special written permission just to bring to game cameras in to the country, because the government classed them as "spy/espionage" devices.

Good point - it is after all communist China. Still would be great to help out less fortunate researchers. R
