I had read about Thomas's first footprint find here... sasquatch-bc.com/revisit.htmlI cannot find Cow Creek or Cattle Creek on the Gov't topographic maps or via Google. Does anyone know off hand? Aloha, Jason

Cow Creek was the name I took for a small creek which the tracks were found in 1986. It was on a map I used at the time of the incident. Rene Dahinden and myself noticed quite a few years that other maps gave this little creek any name at all? We tried Cattle Creek, even Kettle Creek but that name didn't fit ether. I no longer refer to it by any name as nobody seems to what the name really is?

Bill thanks for all the effort my friend. I should have said, that I tried all that too! I'll buy you coffee at the gathering. And thanks Thomas for taking the time to answer. All over the forums, we can find the occasional old message saying: "Thomas's computer is broken..." or "Thomas's internet is down..." It's good to know that you have connectivity and a computer -- if at least for now. I was trying to deduce where Cow Creek was by looking for picnic tables; a small stream going into the Chilliwack River; a hillside with steep a slope; power lines; and road access. In the pictures I see tables, power lines, etc. After reading your reply I poured over maps and Google again looking for the spot. Two MORE hours wasted. I uploaded two Canadian Gov't topographic maps of the Chilliwack area to my website. And I am linking to them here for people... Our tax dollars paid for these maps, hence they are 'fair use'. Download to your computer and then you can scale and view to your heart's content. MAP -- Chilliwack 92H03MAP -- Skagit River 92H04That sighting report is one of my favorites, and hopefully someday I get to hear it in person. Along with Bill's famous MN fishing trip. Aloha, Jason

Jason. Anytime you or anybody has time to go give me a call and I will be happy to show you the spot. It has changed quite a bit from 1986. new trees and all but it is still easy to access as it is right off the main road.

Jason. Anytime you or anybody has time to go give me a call and I will be happy to show you the spot. Thanks Thomas, I would LOVE that... a very generous offer. I will give you a call on Saturday afternoon before I head to the Canucks game, to arrange a time to head up there. I am off work for the next few weeks, so I can work around your schedule. Aloha, Jason

Thomas and I headed up to Cow Creek this afternoon (4/11/2012) and it was NOT EVEN CLOSE to where I was looking. As Thomas said, it isn't on any map. So where is it located? Click here for a map with GPS coordinatesThe creek is on the north side of Chilliwack Road directly opposite the campgrounds. I am drafting the whole story with photos right now. I will post a new thread within the next day or so, with pictures and video. Aloha, Jason
