Someone brought this up in cz.com recently. Since I will be in Scotland next few weeks, I should check out the area of Ben MacDhui. There are some reports posted in some UK websites, and Coleman and Huyghe's "Field Guide....." have cited two reports. The most recent report was in the 1990s. Interestingly, some reports are very similar to the sasquatch reports here. I will try to provide you some links later. Also known as Ferla Mohr, the sightings of BGM has been reported since early 1920s. The description of this BGM is rather similar to sasquatch. While the chances of having an unknown hominid species in the modern UK are highly unlikely, I am still planning to collect some information along my tour of Scotland. Someone in cz.com also pointed out that this BGM has been a "dumping ground" for all those unexplained and even paranormal things. I want to find out if there is a real physical being involved.
cheers, seb

And as Am Fear Liath Mor. I was at Ben MacDhui in 1997, when I took my journey to Europe. It was kind of surprising that most people in Scotland & in the general area near Ben MacDhui knew nothing about the Big Grey Man. Most who did just shrugged it off as a myth or legend, like most people do in North America when Sasquatch/Bigfoot is spoken of. Am Fear Liath Mor (Ferla Mohr) is said to a "presence", not necessarily a Sasquatch. Some people here have described Sasquatch watching them as being a "presence", so that could be what general feeling on Ben MacDhui is. The only thing I felt while there was my overwhelming fear of heights, which made the journey less enjoyable than it would be for others. If you are going to Ben MacDhui, my advice is that you dress warmly, it seems as if it is always cold there, worse than the mountains here in western Canada.

Still in London. Will be back soon. I went to the Highland (the Ben Nevis side). I didn't have enough time to travel through the Cairgroms, so nowhere near Ben MacDhui. I asked a few people and no one has ever heard of the Big Grey Man. But I did bought a book with some info on that. BTW, No Nessie sigthing...actually don't think there is anything there other than monster tourism.
