Hi, Just curious if the people that have heard vocalizations, did they report hearing the calls replied to ? and do the calls seem to be at certain times of the year ? or are some types of calls used at certain times of the year ?
Thx..........Bluedog

Yes, there have been replies to some of the vocalizations that are used in call blasting. It doesn't happen all the time, hell, it doesn't happen most of the time. But every now and then you do get a reply to your call blasting. A good majority of the time, all that happens is that the forest around you becomes completely silent, sometimes you recieve replies from known animals; such as coyotes, wolves, owls, occassionally one of the wild felines will reply (lynx, bobcat, mountain lion, etc.). This is off topic a bit, but a bobcat can make the most frightening sounds when it wants to, sometimes it makes your hair stand on end.
I haven't really found that there is a seasonal shift to the amount of replies that one recieves. We (WCSRO) have recieved replies during the coldest months of mountain winter and during the warmest months of the mountain summer also. I'm sure that in certain areas there may be a seasonal change, but not one that I have yet experienced. Also, I have not noticed a change to the type of call that are recieved during different seasons. Usually all calls differ from others that you have heard, some are the near the same, but they are not usually exactly the same as ones you have heard before.
The other thing to consider is, that if you did not actually observe the creature making these sounds, then there is no way to prove that it was a Sasquatch that was making them. The research team here at West Coast Sasquatch proved that. Proving that the 1973 Puyallup vocalization was not made by a Sasquatch, as previously thought, but by a coyote. A type of call that few have ever heard a coyote make, but a coyote call nonetheless.
I'm sure the other knowledgeable researchers here will have things to add to this. But I hope this helps to answer some of your questions.
