Everyone in the group should wear several GoPros at the same time, DSLRs with high powered telephoto lenses, Flir and NV cameras.
Still won't get SQUATch.

I simply call BS - that even upon hearing these bellows no one had the piece of mind to record it ... I know if I am in a place hunting for the furry buggers, I'd be sure to have half a dozen recording devices on me "just in case" ... Then again, I'm likely the exception and a nutjob for saying it.

Sasq might be under a rock somewhere , probably is , I doubt its a nest , but it might be.
In the very least I think they would hunker down in foul weather like everything else.

Wow I never thought that the places I have seen some nice grass beds/flattened sleep area of animals that one could have been a SS but how would one know that the hair in the is from the big guy what would set it apart from other animals?

For my 2 cents: it is POSSIBLE that sasquatches build nests or shelters but that is entirely speculation since we've not heard of ONE solid, credible instance of one of these big guys being seen in such structures. Same thing goes for footprint finds in shelters and hair samples (as already mentioned) so I think we should concentrate on just providing a holotypeor at the very least, bones or flesh from one of the species because sooner or later, as John Kirk says, it statistically must happen. So in a nutshell: until someone finds a 17 inch NON-HOAXED print in a structure or see one of the buggers in a shelter the best can be said for so-called sasquatch-made shelters is a lot of speculation or even wishful thinking.

bajablondie you're posting aimlessly in a thread about the possibility of making shelters.
If you want to have any continuity and continued discussion of your rock and roll incident you should start a thread about it in the proper area. Otherwise you're not adding to the discussion at hand.

Now! there is something that pisses me off! These days you do not need to carry around a camera, nor cassette tape recorder, nor video recorder, like in the old days, no notebook, no way to mark an exact spot of interest, so another can understand exactly where you were! So it was hard to gather evidence of the convincing kind. But now you can do all of those things on a cell phone! So life on the trail should be a lot more fruitful these days right? .......or....?

A powerful smart phone with some decent apps can make a good tool bag and electronic utility knife, but one would still have to use an external power source to keep it alive and recording audio/video etc.
Most sighting are so happenstance and a brief encounter, the device would already have to be GOING at the time. In most witness accounts I can recall, only a few would have even benefited from having a smart phone already going at that very moment.
Man smoking on trail sees Sasquatch. Sasquatch is looking at smoking man. SELFY TIME!!
And even at that, no matter what media you get, someone will dismiss it as a woodpecker, or owl, or unicorn, so what's the point in media after all?
My pics of tracks and anomalies, trail cam weirdness, audio recordings, add up to nilch.

I have to agree. Audio evidence is the weakest of all! But, I have my cell phone with me where ever I go. All kind of chargers on the market, some of which are up for two good charges. And the phone is always on and ready to go. These days dash cams and GoPros are on just about every moving vehicle in the forest along with helmet cams, game cams, et al! In all honesty, the entire search for an existing Sasquatch adds up to zilch. The only question that remains is,"How badly do you want to document an encounter, should one happen to you?"

Gerry Believe it or not, not only does Thomas have an action camera, but he has bought a dashcam as well. We just need to cross paths with old Patty

That is why i enjoy some evidence to go along with an assertion.! Otherwise, it is just another story.
