I've heard of Sasquatch are attracted to baby crying or children playing sound. What is your view about this? All I can think of is that sasquatch baby also make the same sound?
cheers, seb

Hi Sebastian,
I think you already know my thoughts on sasquatch possibly being attracted to the sounds of babies crying or children playing.
Do young sasquatch sound similar to human babies and children? That's to be debated. But as of yet there is no solid proof.
However, for those that want to research the possibilities and spend a little time scouring sasquatch sighting reports on the Internet, I'm sure you will find evidence that points toward the distinct possibility that sasquatch may indeed be attracted to the sounds of babies and/or younger children.
Here are a few reports and their sources that I found in about 15 minutes of searching mentioning sasquatch and children possibly being at the same location prior to or during a sighting:

Thanks Bushman for the detailed information. But I have another thought. I wonder if adult Sasquatch also emit sound like human baby crying?
cheers, seb

Maybe baby sasquatch also cry, and sasquatch women scream? If humans make quite a diverse range of sounds, so could they, I guess.

I proposed the theory that baby sasquatch may cry, laugh, giggle and make other child-like sounds after reading of such an incident that took place near Princeton and was reported by multiple witnesses in detail to Thomas Steenburg.
Along with dozens of other reports that I have heard, Bill Miller also has a strange tale of hearing child-like sounds coming from Long Island on Harrison Lake late at night. Those sounds ended after Bill and John heard an extremely loud growl.
Seems the only proof we require is someone seeing a young sasquatch making some of these reported sounds.

What is the vocal range of your average primate?

I've recieved reports from people that have heard something that sounds like an infant crying, coming from the remote woods in the middle of the night. In one report, one of the witnesses yelled out and the crying rose into a screaming roar, then complete silence.
One of the more odd sounds I have heard while out on an expedition was something that sounded like two or three men with deep voices mumbling, coming from a wooded gully. This was near Ram River Falls, here in Alberta. Thomas would know about this location.

primates can have a tremendous range, especially if they are large and have a big lung capacity. Consider the average range of a big human male, that can sing bass in the lower registers and hit pretty high notes with his falsetto. A primate with an even larger lung capacity, and longer, thicker vocal cords would stretch that range in both directions. So you could very well hear something like the Sierra growl come out of a big primate.
The Sierra growl shows a huge range, several octaves, and the so called "whistles" are not really whistles but actually vocalized whining sounds, if you listen closely.
I cannot think of anything that could produce that sound with the range it has and retain the almost human quality it has at the beginning. How on earth could it be faked, especially since the last bit are whines, not whistles?
