has anybody read a book called" The Long Walk"?
i forget the name of the auther but i think he is a polish gentleman
basically the book is his autobiographical account of his escape from a siberian gulag where he escapes and walks from siberia through mongolia and into india but as he is crossing the himalayas he and his compatriots are holed up in a cave in the mountains during a snow storm. and from where they are they can see two yetis in the near distance . this is just a small anecdote in the book and is treated as such which is all the more convincing .i mean his feat of endurance in his adventure like crossing the goby desert on foot and everything else he recounts is very good so he dosent have to make up something about yetis to make his book interesting it is a true story too so if you havent read it look out for it

You are talking about Slavomir Rawicz's book. His book is highly suspect as he travels distances within timeframes which are unbelievable and well-nigh impossible.
This unfortunately taints his yeti sightings even if they were true.
