I often ponder the idea of what mysteries the immune system of a Sasquatch would hold. Its known that the great apes suffer from the same aliments as humans. Could it be that the sasquatch has developed an immune system that can fight off certain fatal diseases that would otherwise kill people?

Simply don't know! The interactions between sasquatch and human are minimal (no kidding), and without a type specimen, any suggestion on the charateristics on sasquatch's immune system is purely speculative. But if sasquatch are at least Hominiods, they may likely suffer from the same diseases as found in other humans and apes. John Green has suggested such possibilities:
"John Green has raised the interesting possibility that sasquatches suffered a population crash fifty to one hundred years ago and are now in the process of recovery. He suggests that the occasional direct human contacts might have passed one or more human diseases into their population, and it/they spread gradually over subsequent years. Such disease tranfers between humans and apes are well known. There are many areas that had some early reports when human settlement was new, then no more information until very recently. If thi is correct, then sasquatches are likely in any danger at the present time." - Krantz, Grover S. Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence Hancock House Canada Page 176.

Hey Seb! I don't know what the problem is with using Hancock House! But I have to confess..I have no idea what Grover and/or John Green is talking about when they bandy these numbers about! Sure would love to see their sources!
