Just wondering what you guys think about other Crypto Creatures. For me: I believe in UFO's, Aliens, Ogopogos, and the Lochness. Josh

Hi jvd, I don't think that UFOs and aliens are cryptids. A cryptid is defined as an animal species unknown to science (without formal description), yet exists in rumours and/or folkfores. These are cryptids likely to exist (I think): 1. Cadbrosaurus 2. Orang-pendek 3. ground sloths of certain species cheers, seb

You welcome, jvd! Media usually mixes up cryptozoology and paranormal studies; and there are some "cryptids" are on the borderline, such as the Jersey Devils, mothman, and Chupacarba. cheers, seb

What about the giant black salamander-type creatures that supposedly inhabit lakes in the Fraser Valley? I think John Kirk has reports of these creatures dating back a few decades if I'm not mistaken?

8-)I myself remember as a small child being very interested in the Loch Ness monster. I must have known at a very young age that I would never move to Scotland. so sasquatch or bigfoot stories being local captured my interest. But Criptozoolagy as a whole is forever fascinating.

I myself am a skeptic that found bigfoot interesting but didn't really believe it, till i got within 30 feet of one and it knock over a tree, in a bluff anger display. After that I have decided not to anger any other cryptic animals by not beleiving in them.

The online handle is just the same one that was used by another fellow on another board.
Thought it may be the same person.

Ahh, there are so many cryptids! Which to believe in, which to push aside as rubbish? That's a tough one. But I would definitly say I believe in such things as other giant creatures in the ocean (octopus for example) Mokele-mbembe, Loch Ness and other lake monsters, that Thylacine may not be extinct, and Mono Grande, to name a few! Has anyone ever heard of the Thetis lake monster? www.americanmonsters.com/monsters/aquatic/index.php?detail=article&idarticle=29The boys in the article my buddy went to school with. He says they were reputable. As well, the same buddy's son was there on a school swim trip about 5 years ago or so and although he's a good swimmer (albeit only about 7 at the time I think) almost drowned. The life guard on duty had to go pull him from the water screaming that "somethings pulling me under the water!" ...check it out. There are reports of similar creatures in lakes nearby the Pacific all the way down to south america. ........Moose
