Sasquatch have been reported to swim from various islands in south Alaska! Plus there have been reported sightings from the Gulf Islands between the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

I saw a cougar swimming just off of Sechelt back in the 1980's, however it was only 75 maybe 100 yards from shore heading in when we saw it I saw deer swimming as well over the years

Black Tail deer are frequent visitors to other islands in the gulf.

There are a number of stories in Robert Alley's book "Raincoast Sasquatch" -- which is an EXCELLENT book, for those that don't own it. And of course there is David Hancock's story of something boarding Bob Titmus's sailboat one night, while he was visiting with Bob. I have that story on video. I should upload it to YouTube.
