Well I finally saw the Sasquatch documentary with both Thomas and Bill tonight (Sunday Nov 29). It was on the Space Channel (45) at midnight until 1am. Interesting stuff.
I thought it was well shot. It's nice to see a documentary that doesn't have a host's voice and just letting the experts, both pro and con giving their testimonies.
It was an awesome watch to be honest. I don't think the skeptic Lee Moller (name???) had much to base his arguement on, that's for sure. A question that I have, which I'm not sure if I've read the response to is do you think Sasquatch sightings are more seasonal? Like in this documentary, both Thomas and Bill are tracking through snow. In your experiences, do you have more information found in winter as say in spring, summer or fall? I would assume less in winter since there are less people in the back woods due to the climate, snow and cooler to frigid cold temperatures.
Also, another question I have was with one of the people interviewed where he stated something along the lines as he's become more technological in his search, it's become harder to find clues. Do you think that this could be because many technological advances have a magnetic or other sort of frequency to them? Whether it's radios or the gentleman was seen using a laser scope. And if so, like other wild animals, could sasquatch sense that? Sounds hokey as a re-read what I wrote, but it's just a question of theory?
At the beginning, a lady says "You don't find sasquatch, it'll find you." She also mentioned that when on a search, her group will talk loudly, sing, laugh. To me, as someone who doesn't know much about sasquatch, wouldn't that be the opposite, as a lot of animals, when they hear the sound of humans or vehicles, run in the opposite direction? Black bears and deer tend to be like this. Yet according to this lady's theory, it would be polar opposite for sasquatch.
Anyhow, I'm not trying to debate anyone. Just piqued a few questions after watching the documentary. BTW the dude with the British acccent who broke down the Patterson film I think did a fantastic job. I never knew the theory of a hernia in the one leg. I found that interesting, and informative. And he had one still photo showing how it was a female. And it is agreeable that sasquatch, being an Alpha type creature, would be made into a female ape costume. Seems rhetorical to suggest that someone would go that far to put a pair of tits on a hoax. Also, speaking of the breasts of the sasquatch. They look full. As in a mother who is not carrying breast milk has breasts that don't look full. And yet this particular creature's breasts seem very round and full. And to throw some humour in here, I don't believe sasquatch breast augmentation has been successfully achieved yet. Has this theory been looked at considering the animal's breasts make it seem like maybe it was nursing or pregnant? Which could be why it was out in the open for so long, as it was seen on a river bed, in the fall, where large amounts of fish are usually washed up on the shore after spawning. Could this one have been looking for food for its youngsters. After watching the video, I am curious to know if this had been addressed?
This other question I have for both Thomas and Bill. When you're on a search, do you carry a gun or a rifle? Seems like in this documentary you were in some pretty deep forested territory. And I'm thinking in those territories besides Sasquatch, there are the threats of cougars, bears both black and grizzly, buck deer and little grey men with big black eyes, if you believe Whitley Streiber's accounts of British Columbia. Either way, do you take precautions to defend yourself in case it's needed? I personally do not have a hunting license, but if I were to start checking out my biggest curiousity in life, I'd seriously consider it, even though I hate guns.
Anyhow, my two cents for what it's worth. Which in this subject isn't much.
