Well what a trip! The weather was nasty and the drive was a little interesting. The snowfall in the area was intense and getting around on foot was very challenging. We had no luck of any type on this trip and found only a few fresh moose tracks and spotted some deer in the area.It was very quite in the area and the visibility was poor due to heavy snow falling the entire time.It was quite but I will back out when it warms up a little...

Hello all,
Just returned from a really cold day trip to this area and it seems very quite now.I spent most of the day driving slowly along the shoulder of the highway looking for tracks in the ditch.I found nothing but still get a strong feeling they are there. So much snow and a little dangerous to venture out into the bush in this weather...Did see a young moose and a mess of deer though.I think spring may be more productive again, although the warm days will keep me going back this winter.Makes me wonder about the migration theory... Has anyone here been to the area???

I may add that in my time of my sighting and joining various sites to find out more about what these ''animals'' are,I have not been directly ridiculed, but have yet to get more than a phone call regarding these animals.I really dont care if I am not believed about what I saw.But for a such a odd and very amazing thing dont you think our ''research'' groups need to investigate more???I have been told that not being contacted may be a good thing.I dont wish to hurt a sas,I just want to know more... Anyone???

Might be better if you yourself organize and follow through on your own sighting and research program.
Research groups sure can't be everywhere or pack their bags and take off at a moments notice to a new sighting report from a witness.
The trail goes cold after a couple of days if any evidence such as footprints, hair sample, etc. is not protected.
Be glad that you seen a Sasquatch. Not many in their lifetime will ever see one, even after spending decades in the woods.

Well hello all, hope your newyear is going well....I have not been up to the area as access to the many back roads is 4x4 only in many cases with all the snow and cold.Spring is around the bend and the time of my sighting is coming up on a year...I plan to hit the area alot come April and continue right through the summer and I will be looking for interested participants of the right kind.I have been told spring is a great time of year to look for activity in Alberta, and you bet this area is prime in my opinion. With spring at hand do you all agree it is a key time for sas???

Hello all,I have just returned from a day trip to the area. The area was once again quite and didnt turn anything of interest other than some fine looking deer and Moose.I would like another night trip planned and would be interested in doing some night drives at slow speed on some of the roads in the area this spring/summer.The area is looking very muddy in areas right now with no folige forming yet.I still stopped at the area on hwy 33 were my sighting occured and wondered if it will happen again?Sean and the rest of wcsro,do you have any excursions planned for this season?A P.M would be appreciated.Everyone take care.

Hello tuffyy I've been following your posts and I'm glad to see your back it.
I'm not familiar with the area and I was wondering if you know where Crystal Falls are. I'm refering to the report on wcsro site "screaming devil on the falls" or something like that. I could'nt find it on the net but someone said it was handy Swan Hills?? Just curious.
Best of luck to you.

Hello everyone hope everyone's 2008 is going well.
Small updates; been back to the area a number of times since and no joy in recent times.Occasionally sounds are heard but no tracks, sightings etc. There are many of the so called tree breaks but I am not sure that a Sasquatch is always the culprit of these.Maybe some but not all in my mind.
Anyone have other reports for the year, its been really really quite around here...

Tuffyy
I was remarking in an earlier post how quiet its been in Alberta last year. We did some newspaper ads, a few interviews that had to reach a lot of people and still we only saw a dozen or so reports come into the WCSRO, most of those were at least 10 years old.
We're hoping for a better year this year, it tough to find something that does't want to be found. I'd recommend puting up some posters in stores or gas stations with your phone number on it, the best chance you have is to be first out to a fresh sighting.

Hi Tuffy,
Hope you are well. I will be in Edmonton in a couple of weeks and intend to drive up to Swan Hills again for a bit of hiking and investigating, was wandering if you wanted to come along?

Hello everyone,
This year will hopefully be a better year than the last for possible activity in western Canada.I will be heading into the area of the topic again this month for potential activity (unlikely but hopefully) and also for any signs.I plan to take lots of photos of the area to be passed on to another researcher who has been waiting a while.Aswell as posting some for the board.I have discovered that the area has been deemed ''not a likely'' area for Sasquatch due to some of the activites in the area by a ''particular'' research group.Although I can assure you that activity is fairly sparse in the area.I wont lose my hope that there are potentially animals in the area, even if only occasionally. After all grizzlies live in the area along with Black bears so my thought is the area continues to stand a good chance.I still believe the area has promise.
I have been informed by others that some believe the story to be a boldface lie and/or fabricated with inspiration from the internet. Therefore it is with regret that I inform you that I will no longer be posting on this forum with no hard feelings toward the moderators or interested members.I thought we were all in this together?
I guess I am wrong.

Hey tuffyy don't let it get to you, you should know that you're gonna get flack from people and just let it run off your back, eh. If you know what you saw and are certain, what other people think doesn't really matter, does it. Just keep at it in that area. You know this creature is rare, elusive, smart and highly mobile, so you were lucky in the first place to get a sighting at all. Keep trying, and keep trying different techniques. Have you tried using bait as well as sound to call'em in? You also need to try at different times of the year, in case they are migrating around to make the best use of the land resources, just the same as people did in prehistory.

I guess I am wrong. yeah.. how do you think I felt tuffyy! I know more then I let on, I'd been and saw on other bigfoot forums back then what they all thought about my prints under the bridge. But whatever, I dont need to defend myself, some people are just so ignorant they will actually throw out the baby with the bath water! Oh well, it's their lose! But always my gain! Anyways from our chats we had back in 2006 I never thought you were making any of it up, I still dont! I had noticed your sighting had seriously disturbed you. I guess one needs a real secure ego and real though skin when going public with their sightings or experiences of things not consensually accepted. But like they say "when you get knocked off your horse you have to dust yourself off and get back on"! Dont let others ruin it for you! or for us. I do hope you change your mind and keep posting here, keeping us up to date. By the way, keep searching the area, from what I have gathered, even if an area is logged, they will be back after a few years. We never did meet in person, if you're ever interested! PM me. GLGH!
