I have spoken to a member of WCSRO.I was told to to keep the area as my ''research'' area...Well I sure dont have alot of expirience in this field (does anyone?)I will do what I can.I plan to hit up the area a few more times before winter sets in.I am busy with home reno's right now.I do have pic's of the area that I would like to post at somepoint.WCSRO does not have the ''time'' to hit the area up as the members are all busy with life in general as we all know how that can be...By the way what are the ''confidence issue's???''If this is going to be ridiculed and passed off as a hoax or whatever then I will simply stop looking for the help and info I have requested from other's on this forum...Dont mean to be so frustrated but it just gets to be more of a pain to have your story passed off as BS...

The "Confidence Issues" are what you feel comfortable in letting the general public know about the area and the sighting, as well as personal information. So when I said that we would let the forum know as much about the sighting as we could, except for confidence issues, it meant that we would make public as much of the report as you wanted us to make public. It was nothing more than that.
And once again, I am sorry that we haven't been "johnny-on-the-spot" with this. A person's real, mundane life tends to interfere at the most inopertune times.

Sean my apologie's...I would like to see the area looked into by people from the group as with the equiptment your group has may be better suited than my ears, and eyes.I havent been back into the area in a while as work and home fixin seems to be keeping me busy.I plan to look into the area again in september and possibly monitor it during the winter months to see if the activity remains or is a ''seasonal'' area.Thx,And sorry again...

Keep an eye on the game trails during the winter, if they are going to move about it will be by that route, most likely (from my experience).
And Werewolf, you are correct. Be very careful during hunting season, I been shot at while call blasting before. Alot of "hunters" don't seem to care what they shoot at, be a deer, elk, moose, or a sound that they hear.

Hello all,Well I am heading back out to the swan hills area again on Thursday with a good friend who has been to the area with me before. We will camp near the Morse river (actually more of a creek) and explore and look again for more evidence.I will also be trying wood knocking at night to see what it produces if anything. We will be careful as hunting is now in full swing in the area and keep a eye out for bears.Hoping its still got action of some sort....Just wondering if ''Jimmy'' has been to the area lately???

Well were back.A short trip with only the one night stay we camped near the morse river as planned. We had a RCMP officer from Swan hills pay us a visit as he was concerned our vehicle had broke down.We informed him that we had chosen to park on the shoulder of the hwy and he was very nice and told us to move our vehicle a little further into the grass if possible to wich we complied. He asked if we were hunting and we informed him we were just doing a little deepwoods camping to wich he asked us to be careful. The night looked promising as the wind was calm and the moon was nice and bright lighting things up rather well...We wondered off into the nearby spruce forest to do some looking around and spooked a couple of squirrels that scared us a little when they bolted out infront of us and headed up their respective trees and chirped away at us.We found nothing of interest...I decided to wait until it got plenty dark to start my new tree knocking expiriment I had brought a set of wood airplane chocks from work that seemed to produce a loud snapping sound when hit together. We were about 1/2 km in the woods and even though the moon was out it was really frickin dark in the area courtesy the trees. We did not start a fire to keep things as clean smelling as possible for the time being and sat back with flashlights,a camera,a camcorder, and a audio recorder...We listened for sounds whether close or distant for close to a hour and didnt hear a thing. Finally just after midnight I decided to ''knock'' with one single strike, wow these chocks echo for a long ways and the sound travelled pretty far from what we gathered.I waited for a response and nothing was heard so about 5 minutes later I let out another single knock....Nothing....We did this about 15 times for 3 hours with not a thing heard...No cars were herd for close to 2 hours on the nearby hwy, showing how quite the area is....We finally retired at about 400am and nothing unusaul occured through the night...This morning we did some driving around the area hitting several of the creeks and some of the logging, oil lease roads. We stopped and walked in a few area's but found nothing. On the way home we hit a campground situated near what is called the ''center'' of alberta trail and made some brunch. There were a few people there but not all that many that had camped overnight. We decided to take the long walk up the trail and look for something there. There was alot of game trails that cut through the main trail and I watched these closely for tracks etc.You wouldnt see any with the amount of grass and things growing on the trails but you could see that moose and deer had been using them by the occasional track left in a patch of mud or dirt.We then crossed paths with a older couple who was walking the route and asked us what we looking for as they noticed we were looking at the ground alot...I wasnt sure what to say so I just said we were looking for animal tracks...We moved on and got about 1/2 way up the trail when we spotted another trail that was looking very well used we surveyed it and found no defined tracks of any sort but still looked very promising.... I wish I had more time.......Nothing exciting happened this time but I will be back next week for a full 3 day trip with the other half and a couple of friends...By the way the other half still doesnt want to go back there... Werewolf I would like to talk more with you.You have stories about the area???How could you hold out!?!Just kidding! But I am all ears and would like to know more...Contact me at skyismine02@yahoo.ca Anything you would like to share on here about this spot???

We did not start a fire to keep things as clean smelling as possible for the time being and sat back with flashlights,a camera,a camcorder, and a audio recorder It's always been my philosophy to act like you are on a run-of-the-mill camping trip. If you try to act sneaky, there is more of a chance that you won't have any sort of occurrence whatsoever. We always light our campfire, talk, walk about the campsite, and act like we don't even know what a Sasquatch is. If we hear a noise in the the brush, we just take note of it and continue to act like we are oblivious to any possible approach by a creature. Let them think they have the drop on you, they make act a little more carelessly then. If you tip-toe around, whispering, carefully scrutinizing every sound you hear, then it's a good chance one won't even come within a hundred yards of your line of sight. Just my opinion on the subject at hand.

Was planning to hit the area this weekend but the weather has not been co-operative.The area I camp in has alot of muskeg and I can imagine it is likely near impossible to get around it with all the rain we have had this week.Sean, does rainy weather seem to have any effect on Squatch???I will head out sometime on monday as the weather sounds better although the mud may still be a problem...

Once again, this is just from my experience.
The WCSRO has had occurrences take place when it is raining. One of our members spotted a brief flash of a tall, bipedal creature in the woods with his IR unit. We had no idea that there was anything around us until he picked it up while scanning the woods.
It don't think that the warmer summer rains would have any negative effect. But the cold rain from this time of the year might.
