August 21, 2014 was at the dock with my boyfriend at 10:30am, no one was around. My boyfriend was taking pictures before we left. I saw a walking ape like creature (sasquatch). I told my boyfriend and he didn't believe me. We got home and I asked to see his picture on his cell and sure enough he captured the picture but it's not very clear as it was a distance away. He does believe me now though. I would like to share the picture but I'm not sure how to on this site. Weaver Lake
Maria, I must thank you for your very detailed description of the sighting location, it made it a snap to find both the spot that your friend took the picture from, and the spot where the figure was standing in the shot. Thomas and I both took shots from the same location, at the same time of day as your friend did, and he is studying them for size comparison. Since he has the long-time experience in these things, I'll wait for him to say what he finds after his study. We also spoke to the very helpful camp host, who has promised to keep us updated on any further happenings in the park and campground.
There were campers in both the beachfront campsite, and the next one up the hill by the big trees, but their tents did not block the line of sight to the point that your creature stood in the photo. That spot was actually on the road to more campsites further up the hill, and consists of hard-packed soil/gravel, so no prints were seen. The left turn that you saw the figure make was into the trail you described having taken around the lake the day before.
Thomas told me that your very precise story of the sighting made this the easiest to locate investigation that he's ever done.
I believe that Maria's story was one that the FB crew followed up on, though I haven't seen the new episode yet. I think it is aired next week in my area. Thomas and I were both at the townhall, as well as Maria and her friend.
Apparently my portion wound up on the cutting room floor, or whatever the digital equivalent is. That doesn't really surprise me, as I was describing a 35 year old incedent, which would be impossible for them to recreate, as the site is now completely overgrown with quite large trees. I still look forward to seeing it when it airs here, sorry Billr, I don't like watching on the smallish computer screen, but thanks for the link to youtube.
