Thanks for the heads up Rastaman.
As far as the vocalization report -- I think the guys here have pretty much put a nail in the coffin, regarding those whoop-howls being a sasquatch. Thomas Steenburg is credited with first observing a coyote on the mud flats of the Harrison River making identical noises. And last fall, I observed a pack of coyotes here in the Sumas area that does the same.
I will admit that the sounds will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, but to attribute the sounds as being a sasquatch without seeing the thing that is emitting the noise is laughable.

I'd have to agree with you there. The witness has only lived in the area for a short time and probably has never heard coyotes before in her life. Lots of times, people have no clue to the variety of wildlife in their area and seem to want to attribute any unknown sound to a BF.

I cannot open either of the links! However, if it is the same 'locating' sound heard and witnessed by myself and Thomas on the mud flats near Chehalis, then yes, someone id jumping the gun here!

An unknown sound is just that until it can be positively identified. An unknown sound is not proof positive of whatever crytid you are looking for.
That is why I respect guys like Thomas that treat an unknown sound as just that, and then work at positively identifying what produced it

My apologies Gerry, I knew that a few of you were with Thomas -- I just couldn't remember who. That little piece of information you guys learned that day was extremely important. Aloha, Jason

The only reason that I mentioned it, was that Thomas,,and to a lesser degree, myself..received a lot of flack about our little bit of 'myth-busting'! But we talked about it when we came out of the flats. We wondered if we should just keep our mouths shut on the subject. Or, if we did release our finding, would we be called bull-***ters? In the end we decided to post our findings! There was some flack...but those who wanted to believe that coyotes were not responsible, but sasquatch was...never changed their minds! But there were others who looked into these sounds for themselves at zoological websites who came to the conclusion that Thomas and myself were right. We never asked for anyone to accept what we said as gospel, and even provided links to websites which specialized in Canadian wildlife..and the 'location' call was there for all to listen to. And to do a comparison!
