I have had two sighting report come in via my website in the past month. The information was forwarded to Thomas and he interviewed one of the reporting persons, so far.
I will leave the information from one of the reports a bit vague in case we have some other corroborating reports come in. During our next get together Thomas and I can tell you the specifics.
Here is what was related:
REPORT #1
A gentleman in his 60s driving from Calgary to Vancouver, saw what he believed to be a sasquatch walking along a creek. At first he thought it was a man wearing one solid color clothing, but then realized what he was looking at.
It did not appear to be concerned with the traffic.
Report #2
In his own words:
In January 1962, just released from the RCAF, I was traveling alone to the coast in my 1951 ford 4 door sedan. Dead tired after driving from Saskatchewan and before that Ontario without stopping very much I pulled to the side of the road (Crowsnest Hwy #3) just out of Hope (maybe 30 miles). It was on a curve around a large gravel embankment in the cleared area BC highways kept to keep gravel scree from sliding on the road. I fell asleep in the back seat.
Somewhere around 3 or 4 in the morning I was awakened by my car being shook violently. It was quite dark some moon light, I was groggy and couldn't think, the shaking stopped, I sat there still not thinking much when the car parked in front of me started up and took off like scalded cat.
I looked up the side of the gravel bank and saw something going up the bank at a good clip using its hands for balance. It was a 65 to 70 degree slope. I thought bear but realized it was shaped more like an ape.
I started my car and drove to the outskirts of Hope, I think it was a Husky restaurant. I went and ordered a coffee. The women took one look at me and said. You look like you have seen a sasquatch. I think she was right.
<end of report>
As Thomas and I were talking about, Crows Nest Highway is not exactly in the same spot. It has been moved to make it safer, and of course the Hope Slide buried some of it.
I love the stories of cars, trailers, and cabins being shaken. It is an uncommon but repeating behavior. I wonder why, it shakes things? A warning? Territorial display? Anger?
I also have a track report that I investigated in May. A woman living along the Chilliwack River found some prints and took pictures. She sent them to me, but was unwilling to show me exactly where the prints were located -- but gave a good description. (Tromping around the woods with a man who believes in the possibility of sasquatch, is not something most women are keen on. )
I visited the area and found a different set of prints. Although they were huge (16") -- there was no definition due to the large amount of moisture and the edges were too straight in my opinion. There could be some bastard with HUGE gumboots living in the area. So I have classified them as inconclusive.
