Hi,
I'm moving to Vancouver from the UK for 12 months, and I'm just wondering if there are any research groups in mainland Vancouver that maybe I could become a member of? If not, are there any independent researchers out there?
Any info would be great,
Thanks Alex Northey

Welcome to BC, are you here yet? There is a group that meets occasionally at Harrison Lake, if a meeting is planned it is usually posted on here or sometimes at the BFF (another researchers' forum).
Good luck with your hunting and be aware there are other things out there to think about, like bears and cougars, and getting lost. LOL

Hi, Thanks for the reply. Nope, I'm not in BC yet, however, it won't be long. I'll keep checking the forums when I'm in Vancouver, would be awesome to meet a few fellow squatchers I plan on having Bear Spray with me, I know that won't always deter a bear, and it's not effective if you blast it into the wind, but, it's all I will have. I'm pretty good with survival, so hopefully, I won't get lost. And if I do, I can take comfort in the fact I have some knowledge on how to survive. I will also be bringing a compass, terrain maps, an emergency shelter kit and a thermal survival blanket. There are a few other things I will need to purchase when I'm in Vancouver.

Don't waste your money on equipments, just call Thomas Steenburg. He will drive you around in his 4X4, provide en route commentary, protect you from nature with his military skills. If you are lucky, he may even buy you dinner. He did just that when I visited him in June. Wait, did he pay for dinner?
