Thanks Paul, I hadn't heard that report before. Pretty damn good one too.
It reminds me of Bill Miller's encounter back in Minnesota, where he heard it moving through the bush as it ran.

The odd thing that happened with the Minnesota experience is that I could hear the feet pounding the ground throughout the event, but never once do I recall hearing a single stick break or anthing else that it may have been making contact with when running in the dark.

Bill, do you have a theory or thought on why that may be? An innate ability of the creature perhaps? For those that have not heard the story of Bill's Minnesota sighting it is here... I bought the DVD from the publisher ($25 CAD +$5shipping) last year, and it is by far the best documentary on Sasquatch. Highly recommended.

Bill, do you have a theory or thought on why that may be? An innate ability of the creature perhaps? I have often wondered if because the footfalls and the breathing sounds were so loud and that I was so zero'd in on them that any other sounds just didn't register? The other option that I have considered is that the subject could see in the dark and was able to avoid hitting objects along its line of travel? What I don't have to speculate about is that to this day I can still feel a hightened sense of alarm each time I think of those heavy footfalls as it headed in our direction. It was an unexpected experience that I will never forget.

That is exactly what I was thinking when I read your previous post. I was wondering if you may have experienced what many police officers have experienced in officer-involved shootings.. You could see that on your face in the documentary. Your eyes got big just as you start talking about it coming into view... As I mentioned to BillR on our outing to Yale: I envy the fact that you have actually seen one. Although, I wholeheartedly believe you, and many other witnesses; and believe what I see in the P-G film to be a real creature -- I desperately want to see one with my own eyes. I need to know without any internal doubt. I hope that makes sense and I haven't offended you or anyone else. Respectfully, Jason

Respectfully, Jason The Minnesota incident was an experience of a lifetime just on the fear factor alone. However, I want to be clear - I didn't recognize the large bi-ped as being a Sasquatch at the time. Keep in mind that I, like many before me have done, thought that the Bigfoot in California was just one creature ... some freak of nature so-to-speak. It was night time when the subject ran by us and all I saw was a very large, obviously heavy, bi-ped passing my location in the blink of an eye for the most part. I never thought of it being a Bigfoot or Sasquatch, but instead just one hell of a very large man that just jogged by for whatever reason. It seem to come from a very long distance away and the same leaving the area and it never slowed or altered its pace or its deep respirations. In one way ... I must have been relieved that it wasn't a gigantic Kodiac bear as I was none wiser at the time to know any better. On the other hand, the large upright figure caught me completely off-gaurd and I had no rational explanation for what I had just witnessed other than it being a giant of a person. It was only years later that I put two and two together once I discovered that Sasquatch had been reported being seen in that part of the country.
