This reported sighting happened around Yakima, WA within the past few weeks.
Although the reporting person and the interviewer posting the video are not the most articulate people in the world, I find her description interesting.

It is interesting. However I do have a problem with it - mainly it sounds like a "Finding Bigfoot" scene. I guess that is the problem - when a TV show is created it HAS to make things interesting so all types of descriptors are used, and in many cases special "key descriptors" are used to make the show more “scientific”. Sadly thanks to TV-land these terms have become so common place they lose their investigational validity. So what am I rambling on about? I agree it is a good interview, but it seems a bit too phony for me Richard

I have to agree with Richard. Something seems off/not quite right about the whole thing.

I with Jason. Not the greatest interview, but her descriptions and actions seem to be real. I've watched it few times now over the last week, and keep watching closely to detail, and facial expressions, and nothing jumps out to make it seem like a staged or rehearsed interview.

Kokanee - that is just it ... it is TOO good. There are great amounts of observational detail - and I think far too much for a laymen to mention in the same interview. Maybe it is just me and I'm jaded ... but it just seems "wrong" for some reason. Call it a gut instinct. Either way, we'll likely never know. Richard.

There is absolutely no way to judge the veracity of her report by watching the video. I just posted it for information purposes, because the alleged location is in our neck of the woods.
Maybe another sighting -- or more information will come to light.

I think this is interesting. The witness seems to me to be describing something she really found to profound. What I would like to know is the circumstances of this sighting. When did it happen, Where did it happen, was she the only witness, What time of day, was it sunny like on the video, rainy, etc, etc. Jason was this something you stumbled on on you tube, or do you have any more information concerning this report? I personally would like to know more.

Jason, I agree, and I hope I am wrong - but I just get a feeling (I know highly unscientific) that something just isn't "right" about it. I cannot put my finger on what specifically just "something" ... Then again, it could be one of the great sightings of this year ... Let's see if anyone else sees the same critter, and as TS said, would be nice to have more data about it. Richard

Jason was this something you stumbled on on you tube, or do you have any more information concerning this report? I received a Google News alert when the story was published on this blog. I am attempting to get ahold of the reporting person and her boyfriend/husband now, to learn more. I will call you, when I make contact. Aloha, Jason

The husband/boyfriend that uploaded the video has my email address. Whether he makes contact is another story.
He updated the info on YouTube to say the encounter happened near the Naches River, in Yakima County. That is as descriptive as he got.

I'm already poised to camp on the W side of the GPNF, on the E side of Yakima with a friend next week. We havent made up our mind if we will head that way to up north near Ross Lake yet.
If we head that way I could check out the area.

GPNF or US side next weekend, Canadian side the following.
I plan to set up, go up to Harrison Saturday morning then camp till Sunday afternoon.
Hopefully I can find a nice quiet place a bit further down the road where other vehicles dare not brave.

We will have to get together on an adventure soon. On the weekend you are up here (the 25th) I am committed to a family function -- otherwise I would be at the BC Crypto event, and head with you up Harrison FSR. I have heard a rumor that they have opened up the Chehalis FSR to Chehalis Lake in order to get some logs out that were in the lake from the landslide. I have not confirmed that though. The Provincial website says it is still closed with no possibility it will be reopened, due to the mountain being unstable. My dad and I may head up there next week to see.
