I have been a member on this site for the past few years, and I don't post much but have in the past. But something happened a couple weeks ago that baffled me, and to be honest, freaked the living hell out of me.
First off, before I start, I am not a drinker, nor am I a user of any illegal or "hippy" narcotics. I'm somewith with a degree, a family, a good job, a nice home. I live the typical middle-class life. However two weeks ago, what friends of mine and I saw wasn't cool in my books. It started off on a Saturday night, where around 10:00pm on a clear night, we noticed two orange balls of light with a silver rod connecting them flying southeast to northwest. I live in Mission and we were looking ove towards Chilliwack. And it was moving, without sound or usual standard airplane or airline strobes.
Then, about 20 minutes later, while we were still chatting about what we saw, something caught our attention. We looked up, and basically my words were, "What the F**K is that?" It was a giant triangle sitting above my house. I'm going to estimate at about 1,000 feet. With the same orange lights connected by silver rods. There were no other lights and no sound. It travelled straight south to north and disappeared in the sky like it was flying through something. There were no clouds in the sky. Nothing! There were about 9 or 10 of these orange lights inside the triangle, as I said before, connected by the silver rods.
I tried contacting UFO BC, but I never got a phonecall back or anything. Left my number and where I lived, and they don't seem interested.
I guess my question is, has anyone else seen anything like this? And who do you talk to about something like this? It's been weirding me out for a couple weeks now, and I can't forget what I saw.
Thanks!
Cherni

That's unusual to say the least. I don't have much to say about it, but if UFO BC didn't call I'd be pretty confident that there are a multitude of people on quite a few websites that will be all ears.

I wouldn't be too quick to say that - maybe your email was lost? Try sending to them again ... you'll likely get a reply the second time. Given them your contact email and I'm sure someone will get back to you! Richard.

ADD: I have made a few calls and have been told that UFO*BC has no email or contact form from you (or any other name) with a similar description of your event. My best guess would be for you to resend it: contactus@ufobc.ca Lost somewhere in the interwebs?! R

very interesting, cherni.
that must have been freaky as hell. i've only had two instances where i could say i saw something strange in the sky. actually only one. the other i never saw anything at the time. i was taking numerous photos of a beautiful sunset while up in the mountains camped out on a ten-day hunting trip. while looking at the pictures well afterwards on my computer, there is something in the sky in three of the shots. and it's in different locations in each one. that definitely made me raise an eyebrow.
the other was something my dad and i saw while coming down a mountain road from another hunting trip. it was a definite sighting of something in the sky, motionless, and right in front of us. we had both been watching it for awhile as we came lower and lower down the mountain. finally i said to him, "do you see what i see" and he answered, "yes, what is it?" we even stopped the truck and got out and tried to figure out what we were seeing. still don't know. but we couldn't explain it and even joked on the rest of the drive home about what time it was and if we had lost a few hours or not.

Duallie, to be honest, I'm not as shaken as I was when I saw it, and I'm not a drama king; far from it. However, it rattled me. I have seen other (what I perceive to be) UFO's. I have reported a couple to UFO BC.
The first "rod" we saw was crazy. That was weird enough. But the "triangle" was, to me, scary. It almost brought a sense of mortality to me. And the fact that it just appeared and then disappeared into nothing, like it was flying into a vacuum was odd to say the least. I still don't know how to feel about what we saw that night.
Duallie, you're braver than I am. I saw the movie "Fire In The Sky". I'm not getting out of any vehicle if there's a UFO around. My cajones aren't that big! lol.....
UPDATE: UFO BC did get ahold of me via email, which I sent back with answers to their questions. They said they'd call within a couple of days, but still no ringing on my phone.

so, was the triangle like the other ones that have been sighted? giant and triangular with lights at the corners? and more than one of you saw it? that's pretty crazy.
i have no fear with the objects in the sky. i'm more skeptical. i like the idea and find it intriguing. but i think that it's much more plausible that it's the military testing technology.
and if it were aliens, i don't think i'd be any safer in my truck than outside it. with anything i see, i'm going to want the best view possible to try to explain what my eyes are seeing.
i did see something else strange. i remembered it last night when in the hot-tub. about a month or more ago, i was out in the hot-tub one evening. it's so relaxing soaking and staring up at the stars. i always try to spot satellites moving across the sky. it's not uncommon to see the occasional shooting star either. this looked like any other star in the sky, only larger and much closer. that's probably why it appeared larger, because it was not that far away. it came across the sky, from left to right(east to west). at first i assumed a shooting star, only this was very close. but then it stopped dead in the sky and sat there. only for a couple seconds, then continued. it stopped once more soon after, then moved on and was gone. i'd put it at maybe jet height, but i'd guess much closer. it seemed like it was right there. but not knowing it's size and it being dark, it's hard to say. i can't remember any shape but when i try to visualize it again i see it as an oval. but from what i recall, it was like a shooting star that stopped and started.

Duallie: Three of us saw it. It was just there, if that makes any sense? It wasn't like what I've seen on other youtube videos or on UFO specials, where just the corners of the triangle were lit up. Nothing like that. The entire underneath was lit up, in that orange colour, much like the colour of our street lights. And in between the lights were the silver rods, like they were connecting the lights together. So the first row had five lights connected by the silver rods. Then a row of four connected by the silver rods, and so on. I hope that explains it. There were no other lights or sounds to it. It was silent in the air. There was no engine lights, no strobes, no blue, green or red, or even white for that matter. It just moved south to north. And then like I stated before, it started to slowly disappear in the sky like it was flying into a vacuum or something. And poof!!! It was gone. I don't know if it was military or not. I have a friend of mine that is extremely intuitive. She believes that way out, like 50 to 100kms behind Mission, (where I live), that there is a secret military base, because of all the reports of UFO's in the area that are usually heading north. She's not sure, but that's what she feels. She's not wrong very often, believe me!!! lol, like the last five years of my life. It didn't look like a plane, jet, B2 or stealth fighter. I'm kind of a military aviation junkie. In a very amateur sense, I know my planes. This one, I'm not sure if I'll ever see anything like that again. Not sure if I want to.

that's some interesting ideas. i'm sure there are unknown military establishments in areas we'd be shocked to know.
i don't totally disbelieve in the ufo possibility. i have to say, it's provided much more evidence than there ever has been on bf. it's just so easy to attribute it all to military though.
all the same, being abducted and having that naughty probe done has got to be one of the most terrifying thoughts there is.
