I found this report over at Sasquatch Watch CanadaApril 5th 2012 ...Pelican Narrows Saskatchewan .....7:00pm .... My buddy Shane got ahold of me last night to tell me that an Sasqutach ,brown in color and estimated to be 8 feet tall was spotted on the road going into the Pelican Narrows reserve by at least ten persons ,as people were coming in and out of the reserve it was seen standing around watching the traffic go by,and then it wandered off back into the bush . One person was caught off guard seeing it that he drove in to the ditch ,the reserve was put on alert and some of the men spent the night looking for it ,I asked if there were pictures taken but he wouldn't say if there was or wasn't ....not a bad start for april .

realistically, just trying to gain attention. i was born is saskatchewan, and have lived and travelled it throughout. i find it very hard to believe that bf would choose to live there. i would compare this to the manitoba video that was done just to attract media and hype the community.
nothing at all about this report should make one get excited.

While there is no need to hop on a plane, and fly to Regina -- there also isn't any reason to be offhandedly dismissive of the possible sighting. It sure looks like there is a lot of forest that can support a large opportunistic omnivore to me as seen here and here. The forests support bear, moose, white-tail dear, and woodland caribou. Plus there are geese, ducks, fish and berries. Seems to be, that there is plenty to eat for something that is adapted to that environment. And if sasquatch is believed by the RCMP to exist in Manitoba (read P. 201-202 Grover Krantz's book "Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence"), I don't see why it would live in BC through Manitoba -- but skip Saskatchewan. A possible sighting involving approximately 10 witnesses? Definitely worth looking into.

Not just Pelican Narrows but almost all of northern Sask is prime sasquatch habitat. There are places up there that I'm sure have never seen a human foot. My parents have a cabin not much more than an hour from Pelican Narrows. I was up there last summer but all of the flooding that Sask got hit with made it pretty much impossible to get onto any of the ATV trails that lead into the bush. Heard enough sounds to make me want to go back again for a better look around.
