Hi all, this is my first post at this site. Last year I found an interesting pin with my metal detector. It said "Indian Sasquatch Days, Harrison Lake, BC". On the reverse it says "Manufactured by Pressed Metal Products, LTD Vancouver Canada". It is 1-1/8" (29mm) in diameter, slightly larger than a toonie. I found this site when I googled the info on the pin. You have a pretty good writeup on it. I found the second pin last weekend in the same area. I figured that I'd post a photo of it on this site. Has anyone ever seen one of these before? [/img] Attachments:

Hi, I'm still here. I wasn't sure if I'd receive replies on this topic. I never really thought of selling the pins. One is in better shape than the other. The pin on the back of both pins are missing since they corroded off.
I take it that no-one has seen these before? I think that these must have been handed out or sold during the sasquatch days in the late 1930s. I was thinking of taking them to show to someone at the museum in Agassiz the next time I'm out that way. If they turn out to be rare and they are interested, I'd donate one or both to the museum.
Thanks for the interest though! I will post any update about these in a few weeks.

I donated the pins to the Agassiz museum. It turns out that the Chehalis Band is going to revive Sasquatch Days in Harrison Hot Springs. It will be the first time since 1938 and it will take place on June 9-10 2012. They might have the pins on display.

That's so cool! (I know, I sound like a nerd but c'mon!) That'll be a neat thing to see in the Agassiz Museum!
