As a new members to the forum, I noticed (sadly) that there isn't much in the way of recent activity ... has everyone just left the board?
I would be interested in going on a day hike in the Greater Vancouver/Fraser Valley area (Out in the 'Wack, Hope etc) ...
Just throwing it out there in case there is anything planned.
While I am at it: Are there any active Bigfoot research groups left in BC? I have found a few, but they are not active and have nothing more than placeholders for sites. Rather sad as we live in one of the best places on earth to see the big hairy one.

Hi Richard! Welcome to the forum. I must say that there isn't a lot of activity palnned for this year. As I moved up to Quesnel, I now focus my investigation in the Cariboo and Chincotin region. On the other hand, there are members here that will go out for day hike regularly, just keep your eyes open for new postings.
cheers, Sebastian

Thanks Sebastian! What on God's good earth would make you want to move up to Quesnel? ;D Hopefully something picks up around here - I know sightings have been very scarce lately, gas prices being what they are ... Cheers, Richard PS I am just mid-listening to your interview on Campfire Shadows - I was looking forward to meeting you in person - alas

I used to go to Harridon west a lot. Very quiet there in the winter. Just make sure don't get stuck.

Richard you may want to go onto bigfoot forums and ask there. Also Yale museum will be having an exibit on the Jaakko incident beginning May 12 iirc

Sebastian and I are now in central BC...I'm not sure if we'll have anything planned in the next few months, but I promise we'll be doing some interesting things pretty soon. We'll keep everyone informed when we conduct research, and of course anyone is welcome to join us if they're in the area.

Thanks billr - I may do that. Being a local boy though, I would like to use my local forum and try to strum up some interest. Sad, I have seen groups come and go - and would love to see this particular one last. It is made up of good folks, and your kind is sorely needed is this line of "work". R

I wonder if I could be so bold and suggest a meet-up get together?
Being the new kid on the block, I would leave it up to seasoned members to setup, but I would be more than willing to help out and of course attend.

We usually have a get together every summer at Sasquatch Provincial Park. I don't know about this year's though. Hopefully I can make it down.

Richard, you are welcome to motor up! A nice ride up during the Summer. I have a Bultaco myself.

Nice little bike! My main riding bike is the Bultaco's big cousin, an 1150GS. I have a place near 100-mile (good halfway stop) so would make for a great trip!
