Did not look for/at broken branches. Hmmm, thx for the input. I just googled a few words and found this- Source: www.enature.com/flashcard/show_flash_card.asp?recordNumber=MA0102"...in winter, it chews through the rough outer bark of various trees, including pines, fir, cedar, and hemlock, to get at the inner bark (cambium), on which it then mainly subsists." No gnawing/chewing signs visible. Again, I'd not have paid attention to that initial cedar tree had it not been for the extreme height to which this 'usage' rose (30 feet up on some trees). edit for spellink

Canadian:
I believe you might get some of your cedar bark questions answered if you have a chance to read chapter 14 of J. Robert Alley's "Raincoast Sasquatch."
Hope this helps.

Bigfoothunter, you are not funny and I find your remark offensive. I can see why you have had personality issues with another person formerly of this forum. Or maybe you just don't like women, eh? Your comments are unworthy of anyone posting on a forum, never mind a moderator. I'm simply trying to think of all the possibilities. If you want to eliminate some of these possibilities I've suggested, please do so in a civil and friendly manner, if you are capable of common courtesy, that is. As Dahinden use to say ... 'If you do not have all the facts, then your opinion is of no value.' There never has been a personality conflict between myself and any woman I have Bigfoot hunted with. The conflict in this particular instance was over bush safety - period! Up until that moment - of that day - I was being solicited by this woman to go on future extended field expeditions with her, to consider allowing her to go into business with me doing tours, helping me with a book, along with other projects. These hardly seem to be the things that one does if they have a personality conflict with the other person.
Now if there anything Sasquatch related that you wish to discuss, then have at it. For instance, has any Sasquatch ever been seen removing bark ... have their foot prints ever been found where bark was stripped from a tree ... has any evidence pertaining to the Sasquatch ever been found at such a site??? I do not know of any.
Barry and I were out last week and we noticed that many of the leaves that were on the trees weeks earlier were now on the ground ... is it possible that the Sasquatch was the cause of this???
While I am not a member of Westcoast Sasquatch, now British Columbia Sasquatch, I do share information and work with some of its members in the bush. I have been asked to attend an upcoming meeting involving the Sasquatch in this area and to help with the direction of what the site may offer in the future. Some of us have already privately discussed how the forum can be divided into a section for data to be presented for the actual bush hunter/researcher/investigator ...... while another section be set aside for general discussions designed for those who want to go beyond what is known and speculate on the many mysteries involving such things as why trees lose their bark.

This one is being locked down. It has probably run it's course anyway!
If members want to jab at one and other..please do it through PM's. Not on the board! No one is interested! The next person who breaks that rule will be facing a suspension of one month!
