Hello everyone:
We are Launching our website with the request that you help us make this years FVBEF our most successful event ever.
November 18th-20th will mark the 10th year that the Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival has celebrated both the annual arrival of 800 to1200 over-wintering bald eagles and the ecological biodiversity of the Fraser Valley. This anniversary and the launch of our new website are the beginnings of a new direction for the festival, introducing the wonders of the Fraser Valley to a greater audience and beginning to build partnerships to further engage and involve the community.
The website is filled with details about this year's Eaglefest including maps and program information about participating venues, speakers, and performances. There is informative material about this magnificent bird and about the region's abundance of bird and wildlife. Interested media will find the most recent press releases and background information downloadable from the site.
We invite you to visit the our new website and become involved by downloading posters to post in strategic areas of your neighbourhoods forwarding this e-mail or the site address, www.fraservalleybaldeaglefestival.ca to individuals and organizations who might like to join in the celebration and by introducing yourself and/or your organization to us.
The Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival is a fun filled and educational weekend offering many opportunities to view the bald eagle in its natural habitat at participating venues along the Fraser and Harrison Rivers. Family activities, food samplings, artisan displays and an eagle release are all part of the celebration.
Visit www.fraservalleybaldeaglefestival.ca for all the details and please contact us with any questions or comments you may have.
