I haven't met any of you and I have never actually gone looking for Sasquatch, but my husband and I love to camp, thought this might be a good way to get to know each other and we might get lucky if we go to an area where Sasquatch have frequented.
Hi floridapossum! I'm in Edmonton Alberta and love to camp! I have booked a week off work, June 21-29, and will be heading out to enjoying the Alberta wilderness. I'm heading out by myself, I'm trying to convince another sasquatch enthusiast friend of mine to come with me for at least part of the weekend 20, 21 and 22nd. We have explored abit of Nordegg, the Forestry Trunk Rd and some areas around Rocky Mountain House last year, but werent really serious about it! Being an avid camper I'm all geared up to go! My wife might be interested aswell. She enjoys camping too! I'm not sure what I will do on that week off? At first I was thinking of crossing over into the BC area, Mount Robson/Valemount/McBride area but after reading Thomas's suggestion to anotherhurtnalbrtn I'm thinking of heading south and doing alittle fishing and working on my bushcraft skills in and around those areas! But I would definately be interested in meeting all the nice people on this board, even if we dont spot a big hairy beast, relaxing in the outdoors is therapeutic! The only person I have actually met in person off this board is werewolf! And he is a super nice down to earth gentleman! So if anyone in Alberta or Edmonton area is serious about sasquatch get togethers where no fees are involved aside from "pay your way" I would definately be interested. Thanks! Max.
Hi! Well if you're ever in the Fraser Valley area of BC I'd highly recommend camping near Hope, BC, near Chilliwack Lake, and up the Morris Valley Road (there are no official camp sites there but there are some nice spots). Also the Bench Road on back of Elk mountain, as it goes along the other side of Chilliwack River, and the Chipmunk Penninsula area on the way to Cheam Peak. There is also one or two accounts from the Cultus Lake area but that is pretty crowded throughout the peak months.
Well, good luck squatching, and I hope you bring back some good accounts!
The WCSRO is planning a number of expeditions in that area starting in April going right through to fall. A number of our members are up your way, Lacombe, Red Deer etc. If you interested let me know and I'll get you some dates and contact numbers.
Hi Brian, yes pleaser and thank you very much! I am very interested! I'm sure my other sas enthusiast friend would also be interested. I would really prefer to venture out in the bush with someone else for safety reasons, my wife isnt keen on me being out in the wilds alone, though I've done it before in Algonquin Park in Ontario but that was before I was married. Once again thank you Brian!
May be next weekend, I will go camp out at Kirkland Creek just north of 20 Mile Bay of Harrison Lake. That will be the May 31st/June 1st weekend. Anyone interested?

That weekend has to be one of the busiest ,moving people to new homes. Great plan , wrong time for me, maybe next time.
As for no campsites in the Morris Valley area...might I suggest..Wolf Lake, Weaver Lake..Alice Lake(?)...or the Chehalis river right next to the bridge..at least 20 campsites there..right across the river from the Healing Lodge!

I would like to become more familiar with that area an am considering camping out at the bridge site this weekend.
I'd welcome the opportunity/chance to spend some time with more field experienced fellow researchers of the area. Kind of like putting locales to the stories.
