I have been informed second hand about a man who claimed while hunting in early January, on a new side road off Hemlock valley road, an individual is said to have taken a shot at a large sasquatch with a 30;06 rifle. The bullet said to have struck a tree beside the animal. Until I track this fellow down i will say no more, and I don't recall any off roads off Hemlock Valley road until you get right up to the cabin area, of the ski resort. However it was said this road is new. put in for logging operations still in progress.

Thomas,
If I'm not mistaken, all big-game, small game and grouse hunting is closed in our game management area by January. Of course, there might be special cicumstances involved such as: the person doing the hunting was a member of the Chehalis first nation or their guest, the hunter may have been hunting for a sasquatch (supposedly illegal to kill one in BC) or an animal considered a varmint or pest with no closed season. Or in the worst case senario, J.M. is yanking your chain. ;D

The gent is of first nation linage, and they can hunt where and when they want should be the same for everybody but that is the law. Now the original sourse of this story I caught red handed hoaxing a year ago so I have the feeling that this one is dead before it begins. I will give a little more time to learn the idenity of the shooter. If I can't than I will write the whole thing off.
