Finally I saw this program. It was okay as the show didn't produce anything significant. The DNA part was rather disappointing; the whole show was supposed to base on the DNA result.
But, most importantly, the show had directly linked Gigantopithecus blacki to the sasquatch. I must clearify that this is only a speculation without any evidence. In fact, it is almost impossible to determine the actual body size and the type of locomotion based on teeth and mandibles. Krantz had attempted to link the two together in order to incorporate sasquatch study into the physical anthropological realm. It was more of a academic political move rather than a scientific reasoning.
In short, the theory behind the show is purely speculative.
