Hi All,
I had a real nice surprise in the mail yesterday...a dozen brand new CDs from an up-and-coming female star on the North American country music scene. Now if that's not enough of a surprise, this country singing star also happens to be a member right here on the West Coast Sasquatch forum.
The name of this new female country singing sensation is Li'l Liza Jane , and she hails from beautiful Langley, B.C. Li'l Liza Jane has just produced, arranged and released her brand new CD called "Big Gilyuk The Bigfoot." The music has a nice, easy folksy-country feel to it, and is telling about encounters with bigfoot-sasquatch on the shores of Harrison Lake, Ohio County, the Klawock Hollis Highway, Colton, Oregon, the Oregon Coast Range and Missouri County.
The front and back covers of her CD appear to be produced with help from Hancock House Publishing, Chris Murphy and Thom Powell. I'm sure you will be both surprised and pleased by not only Li'l Liza Jane's music, but also by the quality of the graphic work on the Cd's covers, and the textual content provided by Chris Murphy and Thom Powell.

Here is Li'l Liza Jane's Bio:
Liza Jane is one of Western Canada's up and coming new female country music artists. Originally from Montreal, a prolific writer and a born performer, music was always the love of her life. After Expo 1967, she moved to Toronto to sharpen her English skills to later go a little further West towards Edmonton. It was not always easy for her to stay afloat and keep on focusing on her goals. She learned her trade by striving as a wanna-be singer all across the country by playing in many different venues.
In Edmonton, Liza Jane began getting involved in the local music scene, singing regularly at open mikes around the city like: The Second Cup on Jasper Avenue, The Little Flower School, The Uptown Folk Club, The Fiddler's Roost, Long Rider's, The Drake, The Sand and The Crest Hotel, at their jam sessions. Many nights were spent singing other artist's tunes, until she decided that to get ahead, she would have to come up with her own compositions. So she began taking notes and simply writing ideas as they emerged. Finally having enough of shoveling snow, she decided to venture to British Columbia as a singer-songwriter.
She persevered through thick and thin to find a window of opportunity where she could work and apply her creativity to the utmost and dedicate her time to what she really felt inspired to do - her own music.
It was there that she would meet her manager, Ken Allan who would later become her husband. Finally settling down in the Fraser valley area and feeling inspired having a vision, Liza Jane is utilizing the tools that she has, following her dream and focusing on what counts the most.
Li'l Liza Jane has jammed locally at Gabby's Country Cabaret with Diesel, The Brent Lee Band, Savage West and other local bands. The local legions also have kept her humming with The Midnight Eagles and she's also a member of The BC Songwriter's Showcase Association as well as the BC Country Music Association, in Langley.
During the "Merritt Mountain Festival" this summer, for the third year in a row, she was involved with the Allison Productions in Merritt, playing some original tunes at the Street Mall. One of the songs that Li'l Liza Jane performed was an original song composed especially for Mountainfest which will be released in January. It is called "MERRITT MOUNTAIN HIT" and no doubt about it, it's all about the festival in the beautiful Nicola Valley.
Liza Jane listens to a wide variety of music ranging from Country to Classical, Blues to Bluegrass, Folk music to Ragtime, Reggae and Rock.
Her very first CD "Keepin' On" was just completed and was off and on, three years in the making. The story behind its creation reflects a personal theme of her life: Love, intuition and perseverance. The CD contains 13 original songs and showcases her unique voice through dynamic performances and strong musicianship.
Singer-songwriter Li'l Liza Jane appears to be making a positive wave in the local country music scene. She loves to perform all kinds of music but her heart is warmed by
country.
