Something that's been on my mind is regarding the impact of humanity being sheltered with the Coronid-19 threat and far less travel in to the woods, or in to nature anywhere. The national and state parks are closed etc. I even read a news report where people sheltered in the Yosemite National Park are seeing more wildlife now with the absence of vehicle and human traffic.
My gut tells me that where-as wildlife would normal stay in the fringes of areas well traveled, they are starting to re explore these areas and feel some comfort in obvious absence of man and the newfound quiet and fresh air, lack of exhaust fumes etc. This change in habitat would likely also change the food chain and supply and demand.
In the coming weeks or months, us sheltered folk are going to go back to the parks, and go fishing and down forest service roads and back in to the woods for all the reasons we do.
My hunch is that there will be an increase in sightings again for a while since the two things you need for a sighting are people and Sasquatch in the same area at the same time.

You are correct, of course. But, I am of the feeling that it would take many months before animals changed their habitual roaming and patterns. But good theory.

Of course I don't know the mind and instinct of the animals, albeit some of my exes compared to a few.
I think a lot of the lower end of the food chain isn't very cognizant and lacks our rationale, but perhaps Sas has been through this a few times and isn't easily fooled, so we're not gonna yank his chain just by not being there in mass numbers for a while. Or maybe the seemingly lack of human presence poses a Sassy WFT is going on this year curiosity. Or maybe they just enjoy the zen while they can. I know I would! and am.
