Way too far off, even when zoomed, to be anything but a "blobsquatch". The only thing going for it is the apparent speed of travel in steep snowy terrain, and reasonable proximity to the general area of the Ostman story.

OK folks. just to let you all know that for the last four days I have, with out success, been trying to locate the persons who took this footage in order to garner more information. However as it is, unless one of them comes forward with contact info I doubt we will learn anymore than what we already have, very little. My own impression of the footage is one of guarded interest. Fact is we really can not state that even though the subject appears to be bipedal, the distance between camera and subject is so great, that we can not tell with certainty that we are not seeing a bear or some other large animal from behind. I remember about 6 years ago Bill miller and myself thought we might be seeing a Sasquatch a good distance in front of us, until the head appeared half way down the body to look back in our direction and the subject turned out to the longest legged black bear i have ever seen. So if we can conclude it is bipedal, then we are down to two choices. A human or a Sasquatch. Again the extreme distance involved here would in my opinion keep this footage in the inconclusive arena. Now I know some would think, "What would a man be doing way out there"? Well such assuming should be set aside and we need to just stick with the facts. If it was a man he could just as easily looked up at the two figures on the mountain peak and asked himself the same question. For all we know 30 minutes later these two may have laughed at them selves when the figure seemed to climb onto what they thought was a rock and turned out to be his stopped snow mobile, or the avalanche control chopper land to pick their man up from his recce patrol. Right now as it stands it could be anything. I will still be trying to find out more and if any more information comes my way I will post what I find on this thread.

Agreed! The subject was simply too far away. As one of the team members in the video said, " I can't see it very well". Thomas, don't mind that I quote you there (for BCSCC)?

Well folks the witness which myself and a fellow researcher have been trying to track down has responded to a few questions. He has also asked for confidentiality so i will not post his name. I will just post some of his key answers here.
He was asked the date footage was shot? (Summer of 2011) He did not remember the exact date.
He was asked how many people were there? ( two)
Asked how long long they observed it? ( about 5 minutes)
Asked how far away they were from it? ( 500 meters) Now I personally feel the distance was far greater than that but I was not there he was.
Asked about camera? (small Pentax point and shoot)
Asked if he felt it was walking upright? (he felt that there is no way that this could have been a four legged animal and as far as he is concerned it was walking on two legs) In my opinion he could be wrong as I still think the distance was far greater then he he thought. But again it is what the witness states that matters.
Did they attempt to go to the location of the subject? (No)
Asked who in the party noticed the subject first? (He did)
Asked if they had binoculars? (No)
Asked why they were there? (Summer Scramble) Spent some time trying to get clarification of this term. Found it means to climb mountain passes and faces which are not difficult enough to require mountaineering equipment.
Asked how old he is and is he a BC resident? (30 years old and yes he resides in BC Canada.)
Since he has gone to Alberta for awhile He has little time to think about all this however I will be sending more questions and hope to have some more answers soon.

I would say that is the probable explanation. As we all know, you can find evidence of humans EVERYWHERE in the BC bush. How many times have we found trash like broken bottles and used 'shytepaper' in the middle of nowhere?
To quote what Thomas said when this alleged sighting first came to light:

It is probable that it is Ridgewalker Pete doing his thing in the bush but Pete's comment about someone being up there without any gear and the fact that Lamont said this was on July 2nd (3 weeks before Pete's excursion) just leaves this whole thing wide-open to interpretation. As for the video, it's intriguing but anything shot at a distance (unless you have a particularly good focus and zoom on a camera) is really nothing more than a blob. The best I can say about this is yet another inconclusive video---until the bugger, one way or another, is found!
That's my 2 cents on the video.

Strange indeed , it moves fast looks to be faster then a hikers pace when it climbs the grade to the left.
The Incredible Blobsquatch strikes again.

It does move fast at such a high altitude and it doesn't look there is backpack.....but again , it's because of the subject's distance from person filming it. Wonder how slippery it is.....
