Sebastian posted the link to this appalling con job of a video that purports to show a sasquatch showing up for a bunch of tourists from Hong Kong at some place in Mission. The trouble is that a) The sasquatch isn't real and b) That looks like Golden Ears to me. See the fake here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTuzkPKPwb4

Well folks this is what I have found out. I just got off the phone with a fellow named Myles and a lady named Tammy. They are the founders of the 'Legend Tracker' group. They are based in the Okanagan region of the province. They are planning on moving to the Vancouver area in the near future. Myles and I met last year in Kilby BC during the BC legends day which are held every Sept. Despite their interest in crypt o subjects they are also into many other projects as well, I remember when we talked he was asking myself and Bill Miller whether we would be interested in some video project on the Sasquatch mystery in the local area. I told him that would depend on what he had in mind, I don't remember the specifics of our conversation, but I remember pointing out to him that I would not be involved in any project using theatrical game playing, as as far as I was concerned that is simply hoaxing by another name. I have not spoken with him until our phone conversation 20 minutes ago. Tammy whose name was on the company card and she after a few questions passed me off to Myles, he told me that they had run an add a while ago asking people to submit photos or videos they have of a cryptic nature. The video subject of this thread was one of them, the second one being the Asian tourists on mass taking pictures of an alleged sasquatch on the road side acting like a black bear off the highway in Yellowstone park? Both videos were claimed to be shot in the mission area. He does not know the name of the lake in the video nor does he know the exact location of ether video. He would not name of the photographers, do to a promise of confidentiality. He does not have an opinion as to the subjects authenticity in ether video one way or the other. Well that is what I have been able to find out so far folks. I will update if any more info comes my way.

I originally posted this on the BFF site but thought it should go here as well.
A fellow named, Myles, first name, co runs a small company called "Legend Tracker". promoting some down load for cell phones or something, Myles told me that both videos were sent to them after they ran a add asking the public to submit photos or videos of a cryptic nature, Myles claimed he had no opinion as to the authenticity of ether video. Also the two camera men had requested confidentiality. As you recall I suspected at the beginning of this thread that one of the local Sasquatch costumes in this area, (see post #27} was used in the hoaxing of these two videos.
UPDATE:
I have now learned that Myles of Legend Tracker, had contacted a Mr. Ryer's of Harrison Tourism a year ago asking for information on where the town had purchased its Sasquatch costume used in the Canada Day, and Sasquatch Daze celebrations annually. Mr. Ryers being the decent chap he is offered to order a suit for Myles which he could pay him back for upon delivery. Myles agreed, this was done and he reimbursed Mr. Ryers the cost of said suit upon delivery. I am now convinced that this suit was used in the making of the videos and this was all done for publicity for the new down load program being sold by 'Legend Tracker', I do not think the main purpose of the hoaxes was to try a fool the public as to the existence of the Sasquatch in the Mission area of B.C. as it was a publicity stunt to sell a new down load program on Cryptic creatures. I think Myles of Legend Tracker, didn't think he was doing any more harm, than someone faking a haunted house at Halloween. Next time we speck I will tell him there is no need to resort to theatrics in British Columbia. There is enough actual Sasquatch history in the Mission area to use to promote any down load program he wishes. I will also remind him that any claimed sighting will be investigated and if hoaxing, no matter what the reason, is detected, it will be exposed.

Oh so he only bought the Sasquatch suit, he has no idea who wore it or where his promotional video was shot.
*cough* BS *cough*
Good work Thomas, thx for the update and persistence.

Thankyou for the sleuthing Thomas. I think we all knew it was a hoax, but having proof makes it that much better. Too bad we cannot hold people accountable for such things - faking a crime is illegal, as should be this type of a hoax. Richard

There are a lot of gullible folks out there who don't take the time to personally research these videos and believe everything is true.
